It’s finally happened. After years of waiting, we have officially made our first step towards #vanlife. We bought a van! So let’s introduce her, shall we?
Hi! I’m Bessie.
I’m a 1981 Ford E-350 Superwagon, with a 6.6L V8. Before these guys found me, I was in rough shape. I had been used for traveling before, but the build I had consisted of twigs for edging, if you get the picture. Thanks to these fine folk, I’ve gotten my tires upgraded from 16 1/2 to 17″ wheels (a lot easier to replace on the road), my windows tinted (love my new shades!) and a new vent fan, among lots and lots of other things. My previous owner installed a Fantastic Vent Fan, but that doesn’t work (only cranks open).
I’m so happy they found me. They told me they wanted to travel the United States, and I’m down for that, as long as they keep me filled up with some good gas (I prefer Shell, but I like Chevron too), and help me get fixed up when I break down (I’m not the spry gal I used to be).
I like my new owners, and I’m so happy they are fixing me up right. I even like their little chihuahua Lily. She yaps a lot, but when my motor is purring, I put her right to sleep.
