Truck stops like this one, located in Williams, Arizona, are good for quick overnight stays. They are open 24 hrs (so always a bathroom available), and serve basic necessities like coffee in the morning (for a price of course). Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks though. The semis that come through all hours of the day and night (which is really what these are made for) are noisy. In our experience, Love’s gas is pretty rotten too (we went from a full tank to an empty tank in just 100 miles in our MazdaSpeed3 we used to own).
Still, they are free to park at, and you do kind of get used to the noise (at least we do – others employ earplugs). If their gas was better, this would be more highly recommended than it is.
